SOME Easter cheer is being brought to the city’s less fortunate thanks to the generosity, one gain, of local supermarket giant, Morrisons.
The company’s Girlington store has donated 240 Easter eggs for the homeless which will be distributed by the Bradford Soup Run.
Luke Walsh, a volunteer with the charity went along to collect the donated eggs from the store. He said: “We already provide a nutritious meal on our soup runs and this generous donation will put more smiles on many faces this Easter.”
Richard Storey, general manager with Morrisons at the Girlington store added: “We are very aware of the good work done by The Bradford Soup Run and we wanted to play our part in supporting Bradford’s most vulnerable people.
“We have donated Easter eggs to this charity for a number of years now and it is something we are delighted to do.”
For more than three decades, the Bradford Soup Run has been helping the homeless in the city, relying on donations and support from generous members of the public and businesses.
