A trio of cyclists have raised £1,765 for charity after completing the 127-mile Liverpool to Leeds canal bike ride.
Keith Marshall, 60, and his son Bradley, 30, of Queensbury, were joined by Paul Carroll, 36, to raise money for the Macmillan Unit in Scarborough Hospital.
The trio decided to raise money for the unit after Bradley's mother was treated for bowel cancer there.
Mr Carroll, of Fieldfare Drive, Clayton Heights, said: "Keith's wife Christine got treated over there for the after-care as well.
"We think she is in the clear now, but she has been cared for in Scarborough for quite a long time.
"It is amazing how many people have been taken by the story - it seems a lot of people's parents around here have been cared for by Macmillan.
"Keith's 60, so it always was going to be a bit of a challenge for him but he was absolutely determined to go as far as he could. The forecast was a bit bad as well, but that didn't put us off."
The group completed the ride in two days, staying overnight in Foulridge, Lancashire. If anyone would still like to make a donation they can contact Mr Carroll on 07931 705608.
