A man needed 13 stitches in his head after he was struck with a weapon in a street wounding.
The 40-year-old victim was walking in Bramhope Road, Cleckheaton, at 9pm on Tuesday, when he was attacked by a man and hit on the back of the head with some type of implement. He was treated at hospital for his injuries.
Police are keeping an open mind on the motive for the attack and are appealing for witnesses to contact Dewsbury CID on (01924) 431085.
