A new campaign group has been formed to co-ordinate opposition to a 60-homes scheme for Otley's former Bridge End Auction Mart.
The Riverside Conservation Group (RCG) has been set up by residents living near the flood-plain site and is being supported by Wharfemeadows Action Group (WAG), which opposed Leeds City Council's plans to fence off a stretch of the river.
Members will hold a drop-in, open consultation at Otley Labour Rooms, on Nelson Street, from 10am to noon on Saturday when developer Wharfe Bridge's full plans and flood risk assessment will be on view.
Comments on the application must be sent to Leeds city council by July 19 and can be made online via the planning department's public access website at http://planningapplications.leeds.gov.uk/publicaccess.
