A teenager suffered a fractured cheekbone and a gashed head when he was hit with a metal cosh as he sat on his motorcycle.
The 17-year-old was attacked in Temple Rhydding Drive, Baildon, at 3.20pm on Sunday.
The Shipley youth was taken to Airedale General Hospital for treatment and allowed home later.
It is understood the attack might be linked to an incident the previous day when the boy's bike clipped a car, causing slight damage.
