A Shipley mum-of-four was today revealed as the winner of a £14.5 million Euromillions jackpot.

Beverley Doran, 37, found out she was a winner when she was checking her messages on her phone in bed on Saturday morning and saw an email from The National Lottery about Friday's draw.

She had won £50 in Wednesday's draw and decided to make the most of her good luck so she bought a EuroMillions lucky dip ticket online.

But because she's allergic to champagne - which turns her ''red like a lobster'' if she takes a sip - Bev treated herself to a luxury weekend in Harrogate.

Speaking at a press conference at The Hollins Hall Marriott hotel in Baildon this morning, she said: “I was still waking up when I logged into my account.

"I could see the jackpot amount but couldn’t work out what I’d won.

"Then I slowly realised it was one UK winner and that that person was me. It was taking a very long time to sink in.

"I jumped out of bed and burst into my eldest son’s bedroom. He was asleep but I was shouting, 'I’ve won the Euros! I’m a millionaire!'

"All he came back with was 'What you on about?'

"It was crazy, my head was spinning and nothing made any sense!

"I tried to call my mum but she was in the shower. It was like a rollercoaster and still is to be honest!"

She immediately began looking for houses online, before going on a shopping spree and staying in a four-star hotel.

Beverley's Euromillions winning numbers were 25, 19, 33, 36, 48 and the Lucky Stars were 2, 9.

The single mum, with children aged 17, ten, nine and five, lives in a council house in West Royd, Shipley. She plans to buy a new home within driving distance, so her children do not have to change schools.

She gave up work as a receptionist at a software company two years ago after two of her children were diagnosed with autism.

Beverley had booked a family holiday before her win - a trip to Portugal in August - and joked that she still had £1,000 of it left to pay off.

Today she cancelled her benefits payments.

Beverley, who has been single for seven months, added: "It's been a struggle financially - the benefit woman nearly dropped the phone when I told her I'd won the lottery.

"It's overwhelming to think that I won't have to struggle again. Before all my money went on the children and I went around in rags.

"I could now even buy a plane! I suffered with depression just worrying about what was going to happen to my children.

"I'm still waiting for someone to come and burst my bubble."

Beverley's former partner, Sean Priestley, said he was "thrilled" for her jackpot win.

Sean was with the EuroMillions winner for 12 years and has three children with her.

"I'm just thrilled to bits for her and to know that the kids are going to be going to be financially secure," he said today.

"I'd love to say more but I've got to think of the kids."

Yesterday, he posted on his Facebook page: "My ex has won the lottery from Last week ...shes already assured me I will never see a penny so please don't ask me to have a word see if I can borrow owt or Invest in anything...its nothing to do with me I am n probably always will be skint."

Beverley is not the only new millionaire celebrating today. Best friends Paula Barraclough, 45, and Lorraine Smith, 54, from Tyne and Wear won £7.6m each in Saturday's Lotto draw.
