THE company which owned the former Bradford Bulls has been formally put into liquidation following a meeting of creditors.

Bradford Bulls Northern Ltd has been in the control of administrators since the end of November, and following a meeting of creditors at the end of January has now been put into creditors’ voluntary liquidation.

The old club owes almost £2 million to creditors, including just under half a million pounds to HMRC and almost £30,000 to Bradford Council.

Some of its assets, including the badge and name, have been sold to the owners of the new club – Andrew Chalmers and Graham Lowe.

Administrators Gary Pettit and Gavin Bates have been appointed as liquidators of the company.
