Jason Hunt, 34, Neil McCallum, 37, Steve Wilcox, 48, Robert Thompson, 41, and Ray Heywood, 18, will join 150 athletes with learning disabilities from across the district.
The athletes, aged between nine and 60, will be competing against teams from Worcester, Wrexham, Northumberland, Durham, and Skelton at the Huntington Stadium in York.
Also taking part will be Anne-Marie Moran, who trains with Pudsey Gateway Club. She is one of nine Yorkshire and Humberside region sportsmen and women selected to represent Great Britain in the Special Olympics World Games being held in Shanghai in October.
