Ward councillors in Keighley will meet local agencies as they learn to become "community champions".
Meetings will be held for the three Bradford councillors in each of six wards across the town.
They will hear about the work of organisations and service providers active in their wards.
They will also learn about new issues affecting their area that might need intervention by the organisations.
The ward liaison meetings are the brainchild of Keighley Area Committee as part of the town's current action plan.
The committee wants councillors to play an active part in improving education, health, housing, the environment, community safety and the local environment.
