A Keighley woman is celebrating ten years as a Brownie leader by walking the Great Wall of China.
Sharon Magee, who runs the 7th Keighley pack at Ingrow, will join leaders from across the UK.
Sharon will be sponsored to raise money for the Girl Guides Friendship Fund.
Proceeds will help set up new packs, support girls who cannot afford activities and support international appeals.
Sharon is also organising a social night on Friday, July 6, at Cougar Park as part of preparations for the expedition.
Proceeds will be split between the Friendship Fund and the appeal for young Keighley cancer sufferer Callum Mynott.
Callum, nine, has to travel abroad for treatment for a rare form of throat cancer.
The social night will feature a disco and karaoke. Admission will be £1.
Phone Sharon on 07919 808543 for details.
