A 31-year-old man who had a history of mental health problems took his own life, an inquest heard.
Simon Murphy was a heavy drinker and had been admitted to Lynfield Mount Hospital, Bradford, as a voluntary patient because of his psychiatric difficulties.
Many of his problems had arisen out of his drinking and cannabis smoking, the hearing was told.
Coroner Roger Whittaker was told that he had left the hospital in January this year and had made his way to his mother's house where he hanged himself.
Mr Whittaker said that Mr Murphy, of Flower Hill, Heaton, had taken his own life.
