Police are warning residents not to leave valuables on display in their cars after a spate of thefts from vehicles in Queensbury.
Four cars were broken into overnight between Sunday and today, with items such as hi-fi cassettes, tools and speakers stolen.
The incidents took place in streets around Micklemoss Drive, Queensbury. A 19-year-old man from Keighley was arrested in the area at 3am today on suspicion of the thefts.
Police are keen to speak to another male who made off from the scene of the arrest.
Detective Inspector Gerry O'Shea, of Bradford North Police, said: "This is quite rare for Queensbury because we don't get many of these incidents up there. I would appeal for residents to take valuables out of their cars and at the very least not leave them on display overnight, particularly sat-nav systems and their suckers."
Anyone with information should call Bradford North CID on (01274) 376259.
