CALDERDALE Council hopes to place libraries at the heart of local communities with a new strategy to take them forward.
The three-year strategy is based around promoting digital access and inclusion as well as skills acquisition and access to employment, among other things.
Cabinet member Councillor Susan Press (pictured) said: “Libraries are uniquely placed at the heart of villages and towns across the borough, and this strategy looks at how this position can be used to ensure our libraries are relevant to today’s society.”
