A Harden beauty spot has been selected from hundreds of green spaces across the country to host a unique event. St Ives Estate will host a pageant on July 15 as part of the Park It! national programme of events, aimed at encouraging people to discover and celebrate the history of their parks. Friends of St Ives is organising the day, in conjunction with GreenSpace. Attractions will include encampments, medieval dance displays, wandering minstrels, a hog roast and games. Friends' chairman Pam Laking said: "We were thrilled our park was chosen. We hope lots of people will come along to enjoy the park." For more details log on to www.friendsofstives.org.uk.
