BRADFORD Park Avenue winger Ben McKenna has left the club to join National League side Southport.
The 23-year-old has appeared in every one of Avenue’s matches this season, making 15 starts and six substitute appearances since signing from Stalybridge Celtic in the summer.
He scored three goals in his short spell at the Horsfall Stadium – two of them in the last four games and his recent form has attracted Southport from the league above.
McKenna, who has now made way over 100 appearances in National League North, played for Burnley as a youngster before spells at Carlisle United and Annan Athletic. He has also appeared at junior level for Northern Ireland.
McKenna will be available for Southport's trip to Boreham Wood tomorrow.
