ONE of Bradford’s greatest speedway riders - Arthur Wright - has died aged 83.
Mr Wright was part of the city’s Tudors team of the 1950s, and topped the National League Division One scorecharts in 1955.
The same year, Mr Wright made a World Final appearance at Wembley alongside Bradford teammate and brother-in-law Arthur Forrest. Mr Wright was also rode for England and was a track record-holder at Odsal.
Mr Wright’s funeral is at Huddersfield Crematorium on November 24 at 2pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
