ARREST warrants have been issued by police in Pakistan for the mother and sister of former Bradford woman Samia Shahid who was killed in a suspected honour killing in July.
Mrs Shahid, of Manningham, (pictured) died in Pakistan.
It is alleged she was lured to Pakistan when told her father was dying and that it was there she was killed by her first husband, Choudhry Shakeel and her father, Choudhry Shahid, because she had left an arranged marriage. Both men deny the charges.
They are next due to appear in court on November 11.
The police now want to quiz Mrs Shahid’s mother, Imtiaz Bibi and sister Madiha Shahid, who both lived in Bradford, over their alleged involvement and moves could be made for their extradition.
A spokesman for the Home Office said they were unable to comment on individual cases.
