THREE actors from the district are in the running for gongs at the British Soap Awards on Sunday.
Jack P Shepherd of Pudsey, who went to Stage 83 in Idle, is nominated in two categories - Best Actor and Best Male Dramatic Performance - for his role as David Platt in Coronation Street. Jack has been involved with some of the soap's biggest storylines over recent months, including last year's dramatic live episode in which David buried the body of Corrie villain Calum Logan, killed by David's wife Kylie.
Also nominated are Bradford actress Jennifer Metcalfe, up for Best Actress for her role as scheming Mercedes McQueen in Hollyoaks, and Matthew Wolfenden of Norwood Green, in the Comedy Performance category for playing amiable shopkeeper David Metcalfe in Emmerdale.
The British Soap Awards are on ITV tomorrow.
