Clean-ups have been taking place across the district as part of events for World Environment Day.
Staff from the Environment Agency marked the occasion by working with community groups across Bradford to clean up the city's ponds and woodlands.
Workers - including team managers, call centre staff and customer advisers - swapped office clothes for gloves and overalls, and joined members of Royds Community Association, staff from the CIBA chemical plant and local school children to clean up litter and fly-tipping at picturesque Judy Woods near Norwood Green.
"We are keen to be seen to join local people to bring about improvements in the environment," said Stuart Jenkinson, team leader with the Environment Agency.
Bradford team leader Louise Milwain said: "This was a great opportunity to help improve community areas."
On Friday, staff from the Environment Agency will be clearing out ponds and tackling vegetation with staff and volunteers from Bradford Environmental Education Service at Buttershaw Reevy Mill Dam near Wibsey Park, and at Brackenhill Urban Land-scape Area in Great Horton.
