Shoppers can get their blood pressure checked at Morrison's Mayo Ave store on Friday.
An information stand about blood pressure and irregular heartbeats is running from 9am to 2pm.
Free blood pressure and heartbeat checks will be carried out by cardiac nurses from Bradford and Airedale Teaching Primary Care Trust.
Lisa Roxburgh, arrhythmia care co-ordinator at the tPCT, said: "High blood pressure is the biggest cause of strokes and heart attacks in the UK , so it is very important for people to have it checked, even if they don't have any symptoms.
"One in three people with high blood pressure don't know they have it. Over 100,000 strokes and heart attacks could be prevented each year if a simple blood pressure test had been done.
"I would really encourage people to come and get tested or see your GP if you think you are at risk."
