Walkers in the district are being urged to pull on their boots and raise cash for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
The charity is staging a Hearts First' Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on July 29.
Participants will aim to conquer Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
BHF hopes the challenge will attract over 400 walkers and raise more than £40,000.
Jessica Storer, the charity's regional event organiser, said: "We're delighted to be staging the Hearts First' Three Peaks Challenge this year.
"It's already a popular and well-trodden route with walkers and we hope people will take to the hills to support us and raise vital funds to fight heart disease.
"Although we can't guarantee the sunshine, we can guarantee a well organised event, great camaraderie amongst the walkers and a fantastic sense of achievement for everyone taking part."
There is a £10-per-person entry fee.
