Deputy leadership hopeful Hazel Blears has named Shipley in a hit list of seats Labour wants to grab back at the next General Election.
Conservative MP Philip Davies's seat was among 11 Tory seats and three Lib Dem seats Labour believe they can win based on "notional majorities" with boundary changes.
Mr Davies won his seat in the 2005 General Election with a majority of 422.
But Miss Blears, who is up against five other MPs to win the position of Labour's Deputy leader, believes with new electoral boundary changes it could be won back with a 847 majority.
She said: "I believe we can win an increased majority at the next election, as long as we remained camped on the centre ground and in touch with the voters' concerns such as housing, crime, anti-social behaviour and immigration. We can win back seats we should never have lost in 2005. We can stop Cameron's Conservatives in their tracks, and win seats from the Lib Dems."
