POLICE have today issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed an attack outside a take away, that left a man with "life changing" injuries, to come forward.
A 48 year old man suffered injuries to his face and hand in the assault, outside Spicy Delight on Bradford Road, Cleckheaton.
The assault happened between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Saturday April 16, and police have today asked for the public's help to find the man responsible.
The 48-year-old victim required hospital treatment for injuries to his face and what police describe as "potentially life-changing" injuries to one of his hands.
The suspect is described as white, in his early 20s, around 6ft tall, of stocky build with brown 'short back and sides' style hair.
He was wearing a white shirt and was with a white woman, the same age and roughly 5ft tall with shoulder length brown hair.
PC Kirsten Ford, of Kirklees District CID, said: "The victim has suffered serious injuries, particularly to his hand which he may have permanent limited movement of.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who has seen this assault or the circumstances leading up to it.
"Anyone with information is asked to make contact with myself in Kirklees CID via 101, quoting crime reference 13160163377."
