FIRE fighters were called to a family home in Holme Wood last night after a washing machine caught fire.
At around 10pm a crew from Bradford Fire Station was called to a fire at a property on Grayswood Crescent.
When they arrived they found the cause of the fire was a washing machine in the kitchen of the property.
The family living at the house, two adults and two children, had closed the kitchen door to contain the smoke and left the house until the fire service arrived.
The fire did not spread beyond the washing machine. Fire fighters used a fan to clear the house of smoke and the family were able to return to the house shortly after.
