Walking into a Greencliffe Taverns pub gives a taste of what modern Yorkshire life is all about.
Alongside the traditional real ales and cosy pub atmosphere there are fine wines from the old and new worlds and a menu offering the very latest in "gastro-pub" cuisine.
The dichotomy sums the region up perfectly - sophisticated and cultured yet very down to earth at the same time.
It's a simple formula but one that is working wonderfully for Chris and Nick Green.
The pair set up Greencliffe a little more than two and a half years ago when they bought the Stansfield Arms in Apperley Bridge, Bradford.
The 235-year-old landmark pub has been restored to its former glory by the pair, who have garnered a succession of awards for the work, culminating earlier this year in their being named the Best Leasehold Pub in the Industry.
The awards and plaudits have been taken to heart by the brothers, who live opposite each other in Thackley and even drive the same model car.
The twins have spent their whole lives working in the restaurant trade, even working in the same eatery together while studying at university.
The pair worked for such chains as TGI Fridays and the Slug and Lettuce for several years, learning the essential skills needed to be successful.
They had long dreamed of running their own business and when the Stansfield Arms became available they took the plunge.
"We jumped at the chance to take it on, it was just the kind of pub we were looking to run," said Chris.
