Shipley have been placed in the bottom 50 constituencies in the UK for householders accessing advice and potential financial support on heating their homes.
As a result of the research, carried out by Home Heat Helpline, Shipley MP Philip Davies has joined forces with it to urge residents who have difficulty heating their homes to take advantage of the free advice and grants available.
Mr Davies said: "It is worrying that such a low number of residents from my constituency are taking advantage of the help and advice available from the Home Heat Helpline.
"Just one call to 0800 336699 could mean lower fuel bills, grants for insulation or advice on heating a home efficiently.
"Although we are entering the summer months now it won't be long until temperatures start to fall again and it is crucial that local households prepare now so that they are not caught out in a few months time."
