A seminar on parenting will take place later this week, covering themes such as active parenting skills, Muslim fatherhood, creative parenting and communication in relationships.

Leading the seminar on active parenting will be Dr Mobayed, who has been a psychiatrist with Belfast Health Trust, lectures at Queens University, Belfast and is the author of numerous books.

Humera Kahn, a freelance consultant and researcher will lead the seminar on Muslim fatherhood. With a background in equal opportunities, she is currently focusing her work on improving policies for services for the Muslim community.

Creative parenting will be the subject of a session led by Maggie Power, a qualified teacher who has taught in Africa and London.

And Nuzhat Ali, educationalist, researcher and consultant with an interest in communication, underachievement and special needs and Maroof Shaffi, and IT engineer who also works in the field of personal development, will lead the seminar on communication in relationships.

The event is at the Horton Building, Bradford University, Great Horton Road, between 10.30am and 5pm on Sunday, June 10. Admission costs £2 for individuals and £4 for organisations, with lunch included.
