AN CHILDREN'S playground in Bradford welcomed more than a hundred guests to the official re-opening of one of its biggest attractions.
The Eccleshill Adventure Playground charity unveiled its new and improved Big Swing to a large crowd of excited children.
The charity's swing, the biggest of its kind in the north of England, cost £1,000 to repair.
Janet Jowitt, manager of the playground, thanked the plant hire firm and every person who donated to the charity for helping them to re-open the swing.
She said: "We wish to send our thanks again to Chippendale Plant Hire which has been enormously helpful in providing us with the appropriate plant hire, enabling us to complete the repairs.
"We also wish to thank all our funders, volunteers and in-kind donations, for their continued support for the project, a special thank you to Incommunities Foundation for their ongoing investment."
At the re-opening, there was also curry cooking and an Easter egg hunt, with eggs donated by The Gateway Community Centre.
The playground, which is the only adventure playground in Bradford, is open free of charge to children five days a week, from 10am to 6.30pm from Tuesday to Friday and from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Saturdays.
