Shipley residents are being urged to meet their neighbours at a coffee morning.
Residents of Hirst Wood have been invited to attend the event next Thursday by the Shipley area co-ordinator's office as part of a Local Action Plan for the neighbourhood.
Development officer Chris Murdoch said: "Hirst Wood doesn't have a community centre so it is really difficult for people to get together.
"When we were asking people what they would like to see done to improve the area, one of the things that came up was an opportunity to get together more."
Representatives from HALE healthy living project will be on hand to advise people on activities being organised in the area and home safety advice and free equipment will be available.
There will also be a prize draw and residents will be given the opportunity to win vouchers at the event from 10am to 11.30am at Hughes Bakery in Hirst lane.
