A fascinating three-horse race for the Bradford Sunday Alliance League Premier Division title developed over the Christmas period, with Silsden, Albion Sports and AFC Pudsey all leading the table at one time or another.
Coming into the last two months of the campaign, Pudsey were the favourites to clinch their first championship but after beating Silsden at their own ground and then sharing the points in the return fixture, they dropped points in a 1-1 draw at home to Albion Sports and were then beaten 3-2 at West Bowling.
Meanwhile, Silsden were working through their backlog of fixtures and picking up points all the time, and when they beat Albion and then visited them in their last match of the season, a goalless draw saw the Cobbydalers crowned champions.
The success completed a memorable season for Silsden, who had already beaten Bolton Woods 1-0 in the Senior Cup final.
Buttershaw White Star moved to the top of the table in Division One at the turn of the year and never looked like being caught - losing only one league fixture all season, and that was to fellow promoted club Ventus Sports.
Buttershaw also completed the double when they beat Premier Division Bradford Park Avenue Rangers 2-1 in the Bradford & District Sunday Senior Cup.
They also held Silsden to a goalless draw in the semi-final of the Senior Cup, the Keighley side sneaking home 4-3 on penalties.
Penalties played a big part in White Star's successful season.
They were beaten in the second round of the Football Association Sunday Cup in a shootout after knocking out one of the favourites in the first round.
And in the semi-final of the District Cup they finally won a shoot-out, against Ventus Sports. Both promoted clubs will enhance the Premier Division in the coming season.
Clayton Orient and Wrose Bull swapped places at the top of Division 1A throughout the season but at the end it was Clayton Orient who were crowned champions when they pipped the Wrose side by one point .
White Horse were in contention until the final weeks of the season but they fell away from the pace at the end.
A similar story materilised in Division 1B between Tyersal and White Eagles but while they were taking points of each other and losing points they should have won, Relay Recruitment crept quietly up on them both and beat Tyersal to the title.
The Arkwright Street team were also promoted to Division One, leaving the Manningham-based Eagles to miss out on promotion, but they had the consolation of beating Tyersal in the Intermediate Cup final at Eccleshill.
