A packed programme of activities is planned at this year's Harden Children's Gala.
The event on Saturday, June 16, will kick off with the procession, which will leave Ryecroft Road at 1.40pm, led by the New Orleans Jazz Band. Fancy dress entrants will join at Midgeham Grove, following the judging.
Proceedings at the Memorial Hall Park will begin at 2pm when the official opening will be performed by Gala Queen Megan Monaghan, assisted by attendants Emily Macdonald and Hannah Luxford.
During the afternoon there will be games, stalls, a bouncy castle, roundabout, train rides and performances by a magician. Children's races will begin at 3.10pm - entry is free and the top three in the finals will receive medals.
Refreshments will be on offer at a tea tent, with its popular home baking, and there will be an ice cream stall.
The event will conclude with the traditional bubble-gum-blowing competition.
Admission to the gala field will be free and programmes will be available at 50p, with cash prizes up for grabs in a lucky draw.
Anybody interested in assisting on a stall or game should contact Solna Burnham on (01535) 273120 or Peter Bashforth on (01535) 273271 as.
