Police have begun a half-term crackdown on hooligans who throw missiles at trains in West Yorkshire.
A driver narrowly escaped serious injury recently when a stone was thrown through the window of his cab at Mirfield station.
Network Rail says the county is the worst in the North East area for suffering attacks by vandals on trains and railway property.
The company is working with British Transport Police this week to highlight the dangers of young people trespassing on railway property and causing damage.
Network Rail spokesman Dyan Crowther urged parents to ensure they know where their children are during the school holidays.
