A regatta for youngsters was due to take place today at the re-opened Doe Park Water Activities Centre, Denholme.
The Bradford Council complex re-opened at the weekend after being closed for a year to allow Yorkshire Water to carry out essential work to the reservoir.
Today the Council's Youth Service's Watersports Regatta was taking place as part of an Olympic Games initiative to encourage more youngsters to give sport a chance.
The regatta is part of a three-day event being held every year in the run up to the 2012 Olympics in London.
Courses will be held in the summer holidays and Monday evening activity courses as well as Wednesdays.
"Pay and play" events start on Monday.
