A new series of The Chase, which was partly filmed in Otley, returns to our television screens next month.
The BBC1 show, about a family veterinary practice, was created by Leeds writer Kay Mellor, whose other TV series include Fat Friends and Band of Gold, set and filmed in Bradford.
Bradford-born actress Heather Peace stars in The Chase as veterinary nurse and single mother Fiona. The cast also includes Gaynor Faye, Nicola Stephenson and Michelle Holmes.
Filming took place at locations in Otley, including the Chevin, Wharfemeadows and Court-house Street.
"It's such a thrill to be shooting again in Leeds," said Kay.
"With an extended run of 12 episodes we can tell bigger, bolder stories which I hope will keep fans guessing. We've got some fabulous new characters as well as our returning favourites - not to mention some very exotic animals."
The cast is getting used to working with animals but Gaynor Faye, 35, admitted she didn't always get on with her furry co-stars.
"During filming I developed an allergic reaction to dogs," she said.
"I was working with a little terrier who kept licking my face and I came out in huge red weals, it was horrible."
The last series of The Chase came to an explosive end when Gaynor's character Anna, one of the veterinary partners, discovered her husband Tom's affair with vet's nurse Fiona, played by Heather Peace, a former member of Bradford Youth Players.
Heather, 32, started her career in Emmerdale and went on to star in fire-fighting series London's Burning and SAS drama Ultimate Force. She has also been in Holby City, Where the Heart Is and Mayo.
