Friends, family and neighbours of a seriously ill teenager will be rallying round on Thursday in the hope of giving him the trip of a lifetime.
Luke Bottomley, 14, of Raven Terrace, Allerton, will be the guest of honour at the fundraising event, which starts at 8pm at the Manningham Ward Club, on Bullroyd Lane in Bradford.
Luke, who has been battling a tumour in his spine, will be joined by mum Ann Prest and his nine-year-old brother Dale Mavurke, who will be drawing the raffle on the night.
One of the organisers, Sue Jacques, said raffle prizes would include Bradford Bulls tickets and a signed rugby shirt as well as possible contributions from Bradford pop stars Kimberley Walsh and Gareth gates.
Everyone helping at the event, including two Bradford singing acts and staff at the club, will donate their time for free.
It is hoped enough cash will be raised to send Luke on the holiday of a lifetime.
