A three-storey building in Shipley may have to be demolished after flames ripped through a suspected arson attack.
The old Artisan Windows building on Carnegie Drive was gutted by the fire, which may have been started deliberately.
Firefighters from Bradford, Shipley, Odsal, Idle and Fairweather Green attended the blaze which started on the second floor of the building at around 3am yesterday.
When they arrived at the scene the top floor and roof were engulfed in flames. Crews worked through the night and into the morning to combat the fire, which completely destroyed the roof and upper floor.
Firefighters have not been able to gain access to the building due to the severely damaged structure. An assessment was being made yesterday as to whether the building would have to be demolished.
l A house in Idle has been severely damaged by fire. Firefighters were called to the property at Albert Avenue after an electrical fault caused a fire in the kitchen. The owners of the house were away, but the alarm was raised by neighbours. Firefighters contained the fire but the kitchen was destroyed and the house suffered smoke damage.
