AN eight-year-old girl has raised funds for the Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford by making pretend moustaches in honour of her granddad.
Isabelle Dennison, of Bramhope, near Otley, presented nursing staff at the hospice with the money to say thank you for the care given to her granddad, Jack, for more than a decade.
After making a moustache and taking it to school to show her friends, Isabelle was asked to make more and decided to sell them in return for a donation to Marie Curie.
She ended up making about 75 in a range of colours for pupils and staff.
Her granddad Jack has attended the hospice day therapy department for more than ten years, so Isabelle paid a visit to bring in moustaches for him and the team there.
Community fundraiser Sharon Link said: "Isabelle is a wonderful little girl who I’m sure her parents and grandparents are very proud of.
"I was delighted to meet her and accept her £100, and of course, get my own moustache!
"Marie Curie cares for people with any terminal illness and their families, and it’s lovely that Isabelle wanted her fundraising to help the hospice."
