THE rescue search for a Bradford couple missing on Ben Nevis has resumed today with support from the RAF.
Rachel Slater, 24, and Tim Newton, 27, failed to return from an outing on Britain's highest mountain last weekend and were reported missing on Monday, February 15.
Yesterday it was announced the search would be halted until the weekend, but searchers are back out today.
A post on the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team (LMRT) Facebook page this morning said: "Lochaber and RAF Valley Teams heading out to Ben Nevis again today.
"We would appeal to climbers to post information of the routes they have completed so that we can record.
"If you can also report any gear on routes such as the sightings like the rope seen yesterday on Slab Climb. Keep your eyes open as there maybe small clues which could be important."
Ms Slater is a graduate of Manchester University and is employed as an environmental consultant near Bradford. She spent some time living and climbing in Canada, where her parents are still based.
Mr Newton was a member of Hinckley Mountaineering Club in Leicestershire before moving away to university.
Their families have praised the overwhelming response from members of the public and the climbing community.
Police have asked anyone with information, no matter how insignificant they think it is, to contact them on 101.
