THREE Bradford men have been arrested as part of a National Crime Agency investigation into a suspected organised crime group.
Iftikar Khan, 33, of Baring Avenue, Bradford Moor, was arrested on Saturday when officers from the NCA’s Armed Operations Unit stopped and searched a vehicle in Canal Road, Bradford.
Thirty kilos of Class A drugs were seized in the operation.
Forensic examination revealed the haul was made up of 21 kilos of heroin, four kilos of cocaine and five kilos that consisted of a mix of heroin, cocaine and cutting agents.
Khan was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
He appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court today and has been remanded in custody until his next hearing at Leeds Crown Court on April 20.
The NCA said it had also searched properties in Quarry Street, Heaton, Bradford, where officers found two cannabis cultivations and material consistent with the large scale supply of controlled drugs.
A 47-year-old man and a 57-year-old man, both of Bradford, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs. Both have been bailed until April 20.
