FORMER Bantams stars Peter Beagrie, Dean Windass and Wayne Jacobs will lace up their boots for a charity five-a-side football tournament in Bradford.
A total of 15 teams are wanted for the event, in aid of the One in a Million charity, which will be held on Monday, March 7, at 5 Alive Soccer Centre, York Street, Bradford, between noon and 4.30pm.
This year's celebrity team also features former Bradford City players including Graeme Tomlinson, John Dryer, Isaiah Rankin and Danny Forrest.
The tournament, now in its fifth year, has been organised by the One In A Million charity, which was founded by Mr Jacobs to help disadvantaged children in Bradford, and all proceeds from the event will go to them.
One in a Million was started in 2005 by a group of committed volunteers who wanted to make a real and lasting difference in these communities. It now works with up to 750 children and young people, aged between five and 18, every week in Bradford.
The entry fee is £250 for a squad of seven players, and teams will play four round-robin group matches which each last ten minutes each, in an initial three leagues each featuring five teams.
The group winners will then go forward to a mini Champions League, to find the overall winner.
This year's tournament winners will get the chance to visit the Sky Sports studios in London and be a guest on the Fantasy Football Club show, co-presented by former England star Paul Merson.
There will also be prizes for the top goal-scorer and player of the tournament.
Mr Jacobs said the tournament provided a chance for corporate teams of fans to meet some of their past claret and amber heroes.
He said: "It's a great little tournament.
"It has been such a success over the years and it keeps building.
"The teams are quite focused when they take part. Everybody really wants to do well in the tournament.
"The standard is quite high. Hopefully I will get to play for five minutes myself on the day.
"The One in a Million charity works with children and young people supporting arts and enterprise projects that engage with them.
"People who sign up will get the chance to be on the pitch with some Bradford City legends."
The One in a Million charity holds a host of community-based projects in eight centres across the city, providing weekly grass-roots football and indoor athletics, Kidz Clubs, dance and educational and creative arts programmes.
The charity also has a committed band of trained volunteers and qualified coaches.
Last year's tournament was won by a team called Help Locks who defeated teams from social housing provider Incommunities and manufacturer BorgWarner.
