TWO special events are planned at the Prashad restaurant in Drighlington next month to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Both evenings will include an introduction to Indian culture from Kaushy Patel, founder of Prashad and successful author of two cookery books, a talk by Yorkshire Cancer Research and an auction. Prizes will include cookery classes, a special-themed Bollywood meal for two at Prashad and a food hamper.
All proceeds will be donated to Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Bobby Patel, owner of Prashad, decided to support the charity during 2016 in support of his dad Mohan, who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma last year.
Ellie Hill, of Yorkshire Cancer Research, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Prashad this year.
"Together, we want to raise awareness of cancer issues in Bradford so we can begin to help more people avoid, survive and cope with this devastating disease. These events will provide a perfect opportunity to not only raise money for our research projects but also engage with the public.”
The charity nights are held on Wednesday, March 23, and Wednesday, March 30. For more information and tickets go to ycr.org.uk/prashadtickets
