IT'S all aboard Shipley Glen Tramway which re-opens tomorrow after major restoration following massive damage caused by the Boxing Day floods.
Safety checks were passed yesterday as volunteers checked the running of the trams following weeks of repairs to its tracks and sleepers, said Tramway trustee John Pitcher.
"What we did was get 2.6 tonnes of calibrated weights and gradually load them onto each tram so we had 1.3 tonnes in each.
"Then we ran them up and down and observed the track to make sure there was no movement and everything ran normally, which thankfully it did.
"The maintenance team did the hard work and all the other clean-up volunteers were fantastic.
"So now we're all set for summer and the tramway should be running better than ever." Mr Pitcher said.
Winter services run from 12pm to 4pm on Sundays when the tramway will be open throughout the holiday weekend.
