AN Oakworth woman is urging local businesses to get behind an auction night to raise thousands of pounds for Sue Ryder Manorlands.
Emma Ibbotson (pictured) is organising the night, which will take place at Utley Rugby Club on Saturday, April 2.
She is asking for donations from businesses and individuals to help raise £3,000 for the hospice.
Along with friend Clare Bland and sister Hayley Ibbotson, Emma hopes to make the event as big a success as their previous fundraising efforts for Manorlands and Airedale Hospital.
To date, they have raised almost £15,000 from events including a Boogie in the Barn, a Sparkle for Hope Ball and a race night.
Emma, a childminder who runs Country Kids Childminding Services, said: “Manorlands is an amazing place and is such an asset to the local community, providing incredible care when it is needed most.
Tickets for the auction night are £10 and include pie and pea supper, raffle ticket, stand-up-sit-down bingo and a disco.
An auctioneer will host the night, which is expected to be attended by over 200 people. E-mail Emma Ibbotson at emmaibb@hotmail.co.uk for tickets and to get involved.
