POSTMAN Pat is proving a first-class attraction on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.
Youngsters have been queuing to meet the popular TV and book character and his black and white cat, Jess.
Pat is spending three days on the world-famous five-mile line, making appearances at different stations.
K&WVR marketing officer Sarah Howsen said the event, which began yesterday, got off to a flying start.
"It's been really brilliant and exceeded our expectations," she said.
"Every train has been full and people have queued to get their photos taken with Pat and Jess at the various stations they've stopped at.
"It is the first time we have staged this but it's been so successful we will certainly look at the possibility of repeating it."
The event, which also includes various children's activities, finishes tomorrow.
Tickets can be obtained from the stations.
