THE trial of two men, accused of murdering Bradford grandfather Clement 'Butch' Desmier, is scheduled to begin at Bradford Crown Court next week.
David Lawler, 32, of HMP Wealstun, and Nathan Jefferson, 20, of Springwell View, Holbeck, Leeds, are charged with the murder of 68-year-old Mr Desmier, who was found dead at his home in Rowlestone Rise, Greengates, Bradford, in August 2012.
Mr Desmier suffered a number of injuries, including stab wounds.
At a brief pre-trial review hearing at Bradford Crown Court today, it was said the case would be tried at the court on Tuesday by High Court judge Mr Justice Blake.
Lawler appeared via a video link from custody, but Jefferson could not be brought to court due to an incident at Doncaster, where he is being held.
