THE jury in the trial of a man accused of twisting his partner's arm and burning her face on an electric cooker has been unable to reach verdicts on two allegations of causing actual bodily harm.
Artur Kusz was today cleared of battery on Sylvia Motowidelko at their flat in Leeds Road, Bradford, last summer.
But the panel at Bradford Crown Court was discharged later this afternoon after the foreman told Judge Peter Benson they would be unable to come to a decision on the outstanding charges.
Miss Motowidelko accused Kusz, 38, of twisting her arm and burning her nose on the cooker during separate attacks between August and October when they were living together.
Judge Benson gave the Crown eight days to decide whether to seek a retrial on the remaining two allegations.
The case will be listed again on February 23.
