A CHECKOUT assistant at Tesco in Queensbury will have her head shaved to help raise money to send a seriously-ill boy to Disney World.
Katrina Gilderdale's locks will get the chop, in store, at 11am on Saturday in aid of an appeal to send Shaun Markey (pictured), of Queensbury, to America.
The Shibden Head Primary Academy pupil suffers from high risk acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and a family trip to Disney in America had to be cancelled after he was diagnosed last April.
David Lightfoot, Tesco Queensbury Community Champion, said of Katrina's challenge: "She has been sponsored by staff and customers alike and so far raised around £500."
Katrina is donating her cut hair to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs and hair pieces for children who suffer hair loss due to cancer treatment.
