PUPILS from Miriam Lord Primary School have visited a local police station to see the everyday workings of West Yorkshire Police.
Bradford West officers welcomed Year 4 children from the Manningham school to Lawcroft House station earlier this week.
The children took on the roles of police officers and prisoners to learn about the everyday workings in the station from arrests, to custody and the investigation of crimes. They ended the visit with a look inside one of the police vehicles.
A police spokesman said: "The children are learning about crime and punishment at school and hopefully the visits have given them some useful information and, who knows, inspired a few of them to become future members of West Yorkshire Police."
