A man was air-lifted to hospital with serious injuries after a head-on smash. The collision between a Rover 200, driven by a man in his 30s, and a BMW 24, driven by a woman in her 40s, happened on the Bolton Abbey to Skipton Road at Blubberhouses at 5.50pm today. The man had to be cut free from his car by firefighters before being taken to hospital. The woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries and was taken to hospital for a check-up.
