A hard-hitting film that highlights the dangers of substance misuse has been launched by Kirklees Drug Action Team.
Crossing The Line shows the harsh realities and long-term consequences of using cocaine and heroin by featuring the personal stories of former substance abusers.
Chris Keane, a school-based Drugs Prevention Worker for Lifeline Kirklees who features in the film, is delivering it to hard-to-reach young people mainly in school exclusion units The 28-year-old used to commit crime to fund a cannabis, heroin and crack cocaine habit for 10 years from the age of 14 and was imprisoned four times.
Teachers using the DVD in schools have also been offered training, support and a resource pack.
